Hi!

I would like to get the cheapest but most comfortable route to Paris from Perth in 2012-2013. The traveling party will consist of 5 adults. I would like to travel in the month of July or between the months of December-February. I would like to travel for a month. When are the best time to get cheap airfares?

Hmmm, cheapest and most comfortable tend to be mutually exclusive... So which one of the two are you most inclined towards??

And where are you based...

The last year or two i have seen some pretty good prices to some cities in Europe via Qatar Airways (I thnk leaving from Melbourne???), I have flown them before and they are pretty good i felt, but depends if they have specials on the city or cities in Europe that you are interested in??

Bestflights.com.au is one place i sometimes like to check, but there are many other sites, you also want to work out what are the dates for the different seasons as prices can fluctuate at peak times of course...

I would have a good look around now. Have been receiving quite a few emails for earlybird specials lately for travel about that time next year.

We have already booked for Europe for next year and because of the Olympics in late July, nothing is cheap.

You may want to consider European weather in your choice of timing. July will be warm to hot almost everywhere and December/February will be cold (especially in Northern Europe) and can affect travel plans - but offers the possibilty of ski-ing. If going in July keep an eye out for fares from now on and a good place to start is ITA which allows you to search different airlines for different periods of travel. At the moment China Southern is offering PER-CDG for $1683, but you still need to find an agent to book it. Happy travelling!
