Places to see in Rome?

My partner and I will be in Rome in about 4 weeks. This is our first time there and we're keen to see and do as much as possible in the 3 days we'll be there. Any suggestion is most appreciated.

Apart from the obvious attractions, I highly recommend Le Domus Romane di Palazzo Valentini. The multimedia museum there is amazing! Make sure you book into one of the English speaking tours as most are in Italian.

I found it worthwhile to get a good guide. Self guiding will miss a lot. Try Angel Tours. They do small groups.
