Perth to Albany air route to remain regulated - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

The Transport Minister Troy Buswell says the Perth to Albany air route will remain regulated because there is not enough demand for another airline to service the route.
Mr Buswell has told ABC local radio South Coast the route was put out to tender but competing airlines could not agree on conditions.

Unsurprising news perhaps, but nonetheless disappointing for those of us who might wish to combine weekend jaunts with QFF points earn!
