Perth Airport what to do on long stay
Had to shift a flexi per-syd that had been upgraded forward a day. Was only showing 1 J reward seat on the 4pm so put my colleague on that, and myself on the red-eye. Still 3 for sale seats on the 4pm which is obviously my preference under a week out.
Plan to show up at airport and ask for fly ahead. My understanding is that despite being an upgraded fare, once under airport control it is like any other business fare so I "should" have a decent chance. Won't take Y - would prefer red eye in J.
However, in the event I miss a seat, 8hrs is a long time in the fairly sterile VA PER lounge. Anyone have any suggestions on something to do close by, decent place for dinner, without the lengthy trip back to Perth.
