Perth Airport Hotels?

I am currently investigating having our children (19 & 17) join us in Europe during the April school holidays. One of my options is an evening flight to Perth, then a 6am flight to Dubai. This will be their first international flight without us, and neither them or I have been to Perth before.

Are there any hotels - preferably budget - close to the airport? Since they need to be back at the airport at some ungodly hour to check in, is it easier to just stay there (we've done it before elsewhere)? Are any lounges open all night?

The cheapest hotel near the PER airport is the Ibis Budget - it is about a $12- taxi fare each way. The domestic lounges are not 24h, don't know about the Int ones

Domestic airport is very close to great eastern highway and a short ride in a taxi would get you a choice of 10+ motels / hotel.

The closest hotel would be Marracoonda Motel, which is on the grounds of the domestic airport but requires a small taxi ride.

Unsure if you are aware there are major roadworks in and around the airport and to get to international airport is a bit of a mission
