I need to fly to Vancouver in April, I am a Qantas FF and Qantas Club member.
PER to LAX is $1900 with Qantas, PER to YVR $2720 with Qantas, with the internal flight LAX YVR on Alaskan. If I buy the $1900 ticket I can book on the same LAX - YVR flights with Alaskan for $477.
Is there a downside to doing this apart from not being able to use the Qantas Club lounge in LAX on the inward bound journey and having to pay US$25 for an extra bag.
Any comments would be appreciated
thanks
