Hi all,
I have had a search on AFF and just wanted to confirm the following:
When I fly PER-JNB return on SA metal but with a QF flight number I
-will earn FF points
-will not earn SCs
-should have access to the lounges in PER and JNB (I'm SG) but may need to convince the lounge dragon that I have this privilege
is that pretty much correct?
Anyone flown SA in Y recently to compare to QF Y? Seems the seat pitch is a tad more generous
cheers
Bert

QF no. Will earn both points and SC's. SA no. Earns points only

Seats are flat horizontal beds but with a few bumbs. Personally I always take the syd qf flight, longer flight so you can get a decent sleep and believe it or not better service. Will be on that flight in 4 hours

I'm flying in Y so I wont be sampling their lie flat seats. Interestingly, when I go to select seats via the QF site it only shows me a small part of the cabin to select seats from (rows 61 to 66 on this A343). I guess that is for PAX travelling on QF numbers?
Also, can anyone confirm whether I'll have lounge access in PER and JNB?
cheers

Correct. QF is only allocated a certain number of seats and you're seeing that selection.

As for lounge access: yes to both PER and JNB. In Perth it's simply the Qantas Business Lounge. In JNB you can access the Shongololo Lounge and possibly the SA Baobab Lounge.
