I need to get to DAR in a few weeks and wanting to go via DXB with a 1 night stopover so that I can at least see a little of Dubai. As I see it, my choices flying from PER to DXB are either SQ or Emirates but I was wondering if there is any significant difference in the J product of these two airlines for the PER-DXB route? I am a member of Krisflyer so the points for SQ would be good (and will probably get me to Gold with my next couple of trips to SIN and KUL in May) but I am happy to accumulate points to the Emirates program as I understand that this one return trip in J (PER-DXB-DAR with corresponding bonus for booking online) will pretty much get me to Gold in their program.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
