As most of you know, I'm heading to Europe today for 3 weeks. I wasn't planning to do a TR as I keep my own blog, however my sister is bringing her friend Penny* along, so Penny will be writing the TR, but posted through my account.

*Penny is male btw.

Today I woke up at 7:35am.
Sze Sze had been packing her bags for most of the night and making my first class cabin comfy (the large compartment within her back pack).

She said she couldn't travel with me out and about because "everyone would stare".
I understand.

We took a taxi to Nerang train station. This is where our journey began. (quack quack...)

*even though people see me as an animal, I still abide by the rules*

After the sneaky train ride up (because I think QR has something against Penguins) Sam, Sze Sze and I checked in. I don't think the check-in agent noticed I was in Sze Sze's back pack.
Gosh she's sneaky.

Now I am just sitting in the QP eating some fushh and dictating to Sze Sze (shhh-neakily).

Penny out.

QF51 BNE - SIN

Today was the first time I have ever flown.
Even though heaps of birds can fly, I am sure that none can say they flew in a plane.

The plane was massive and our seat had a lot of leg room. Too much if you ask me.
samh004-albums-penny-846-pennys-leg-room.jpg

The toilets were spacious too, but really nasty… it was a once in a life time thing, so never again.

Now Sam, Sze Sze and I are sitting in the QP in Singapore waiting for our late night flight to London. I am really enjoying this trip. Quack Quack Quack!

Hi Penny,

Glad to see you are having a good trip.

I trust your friends are looking after you and you are all having a great trip.

Hope the rest of the holiday goes well.

Ah the pics have magically appeared.I know why Penny wasn't allowed out-the only little penguins I have been close to smelt terrible.:D

Today Sam, Sze Sze and I landed at Heathrow Airport, London at 6:35am.
Although we landed on time, the plane had to wait away from our allocated bay due to another plane occupying it. It was kind of annoying. QUACK *shrugs*. We then met up with Sam and Sze Sze's mum at the carousel where we waited to collect our baggage. It was here that our journey to Central London began. Quack Quack Quack Quack!

London was very exciting. We walked through: Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square... (we're going to the National Gallery tomorrow).

samh004-albums-penny-852-penny-by-the-national-gallery.jpg

One of my favourite places other than The Royal Academy of Arts was Buckingham Palace. We saw the horse guards and the changing of the guards. I even got a video of me while they were marching towards Buckingham palace.
Linda, Sam and Sze Sze are so good to me.

samh004-albums-penny-854-changing-of-the-guard.jpg

It has been such a long tiring day, even though I slept a lot on the plane.

samh004-albums-penny-850-penny-royal-over-seas-league.jpg

We are currently staying at a place called the Royal Over-Seas House.

The beds are massive, but I bet Sze Sze will take up all the room and make me sleep in her backpack... (oh and by the way, she told me that "...it was not because [I smelt] bad...")
Quackidy Quack Quack Quack!

I'm sorry Penny, but I can't see any of your images.

The album was accidentally made private.

On Friday Linda, Sze Sze and I woke up at 6:30am. Although, Sze Sze was still tired so we went to sleep for another hour or so.

We had breakfast at the Royal Overseas House.
I was kind of disappointed as they didn't have any fish for breakfast and I was feeling rather peckish. I had a bit of toast and marmite though. It was nice... I prefer fatty tuna. Quack!

Some things we did included:
Trying out an iPad in the London Apple Store!
samh004-albums-penny-860-apple-store-regent-street.jpg

samh004-albums-penny-859-penny-and-the-ipad.jpg

Getting a picture with a Lego Buzz Lightyear at Hamley’s Toy Store.
samh004-albums-penny-857-penny-and-buzz-lightyear.jpg

Meeting with Sze Sze’s relatives such as: Aunty Del, Max, Ariana and their son Sebastian.

Having lunch and viewing exhibits in the Tate Modern.

Looking at St. Pauls Cathedral.
samh004-albums-penny-858-penny-and-st-pauls-cathedral.jpg

And last but not least, going to see a 'Phantom of the Opera' sequel called 'Love Never Dies'.
The visuals, especially in the use of projection on the gauze screen was the best thing out of the entire show. Sze Sze says I have it easy since I never seem to have to pay for any fares or fees.
I am really tired now... quack quack quack.

Today Sze Sze woke up at 5:30am, consequently waking me up too.

We all went to the Tower Bridge. It was a pretty sunny and warm day (or so Linda thought), so everyone was in shorts. Even though everyone was chilled I was luckily shielded by the wind while in Sze Sze’s bag... everyone was so jealous.

samh004-albums-penny-862-tower-bridge-and-penny.jpg

We also went and walked around the Tower of London. It was reasonably interesting. Quack!

We didn’t do much else… photos of the Crown Jewels were prohibited!

We ate out at an Indian restaurant.
I didn’t have any.

I am really tired at the moment... Quack !

We’re off to Malaga tomorrow.

Penny. this is great. Most entertaining. Glad its you doing the TR and not Sam. Say hello to Sze Sze and Linda.
Max

PS. I sent a message to the Queen to invite you all over for a cup of tea.

I feel very privileged as I met Penny today. We quacked around for a while, and then chatted about serious matters such as global warming and the effect on seafood, fish shortages, and the price of fish at retail stores!

I hope he enjoys the rest of his adventure.

Shouldn't this be in the "Famous penguins met" thread.;)

Keep up the great TR Penny and enjoy Malaga.

Loving this TR...look forward to hearing about Penny's adventures in Spain.

P.S. If you want my best advice, pack sunscreen. Lots. (Or at least as much as you can under the LAG laws). ;) :)

Yesterday Linda, Sam, Sze Sze and I woke up at 4:00am.
I was still very tired.
We took a taxi to the airport. The plane from London to Malaga, Spain, was about 2 hrs and 15 mins. It was really turbulent and our landing was really scary. It made me quack! Sze Sze made me go back into her bag. She said it would feel safer in the darkness of her bag while the plane was going through rough air. We then caught a 2 hour bus to Grenada where we plan to see the Alhambra.

Spain is a lot warmer that London.
samh004-albums-penny-s-european-adventure-picture1869-penny-maxibon.jpg

It has a lot of old buildings.
samh004-albums-penny-s-european-adventure-picture1870-penny-outside-alhambra.jpg

Spain is pretty good although I think it has an odd smell to it.
Sze Sze agrees.

We’re going to view the Alhambra tomorrow morning.

Quackidy Quack Quack!

Better wash your nappy Penny

Yesterday Sze Sze and I woke up at 8:00am.
We had breakfast at the hotel and then headed off to the Alhambra.
We, and when I say we, I mean Linda, Sam and Sze Sze, had to walk up a steep hill.
I just sat in Sze Sze’s bag. It was good because I didn't get sunburnt. Sze Sze said I shouldn't put on sunscreen.

Pretty much we (not me) just walked around and took a lot of photos.

The Alhambra, a palace built for Muslim rulers in Spain, was really spectacular...
Quack QUACK!

samh004-albums-penny-s-european-adventure-picture1876-penny-mini-arch.jpg

I got up really close to the walls and I can tell you that the interior decoration was really intricate.

samh004-albums-penny-s-european-adventure-picture1878-cathedral-sign.jpg

We also went into a cathedral. It was really spacious inside.

I am tired now.
