Okay,
I know its been ages since peanut butter disappeared from QC lounges but WHY? I thought it was because the do gooders wanted to protect the 1% who have a nut allergy - who cant look after themselves BUT then I make a vist to Maccas fro brekkie - the masters of self protection from litigation and a place freuquented by smallfry and the HAVE peanut butter available.

Whilst on QC - does anyone know if the paper towels have returned to BNE domestic yet?
I was told the block the dunnies but the last 5 QC's Ive been in dont seem to have a problem.

The Towel thing, i am sure , is all part of the current COST CUTTING.

This cost cutting is really annoying , and i think its totally wrong ,

just last week, at the syd QP, i order my standard Southern Comfort and Coke, only to be told, no sorry, dont have that anymore,

COST CUTTING AGAIN,

BUt why ? ? membership fee has gone up !!!

I felt like ordering a beer, ( that i dont drink  ) and then just leave it on the bar, , or tip it out,, then repeat.

Really starting to get annoyed at the Red Roo, and the way they treat their customers,

Does anybody have any good suggestions, on who i can complain to , to have the above issue fixed, and the Sothern comfort, put back in the QP's ??
Or am i just wasting my time ??

MM

Again, Good question, I'm sure someone will know the answers

I wouldn't hold your breath in getting the SC back at the QP though, it's regarded as a "premium" spirit therefore don't fancy your chances - if you do however get it back, I will be draughting a letter stating my reasons for Wild Turkey Rare Breed to be available at QP's nation wide

Mr!

:)

I can see that the QP will be 'watered' down to be Beer & Wine only, no spirits in time to come.

A few other drinks have disappeared from QCs.... Baileys, Tia Maria....

But they are still available in the J lounge.

Perhaps Qantas are trying to "distinguish" the lounges more.

At the expense of the paying SG and QP paying patrons (and PS & AMEX guest pass patrons also :D):!:

Peanut Butter?

We say peanut *paste* round here..

All of my friends are solidly singular, totally trustworthy straight and sincere, polished, experienced, witty and charming and they wouldn't be my friends if they called peanut butter - peanut paste!

LOL

Mr!

Yes :!: My wife (boomer like me) refuses to believe that peanut paste existed. It's always been peanut butter, she insists. May be it was in NSW. In SA and WA it was alway peanut paste, at least until until the early 70s.

It was peanut paste in Queensland too. I always thought "peanut butter" came from the US, but maybe it was seeded in Victoria for us Aussies? Anyway I cringe when I hear "peanut butter". It has definitely always been "peanut paste" in our household...
