PC Ambassador Status hurdle ?

I have already registered for the Ambassador Status hurdle, spend 3 nights and get free Ambassador status, and even thought i have had 2 recent IC stays which have earnt points and the Ambassador status hurdle is in my registered promotions why have they not granted ?
(The status of the promo says i still have not earnt anything towards it)

Do i need to call to get it done ? anybody have any experience on this ?

Also should i ask for Royal Ambassador status ? i do stay heaps of nights in PC properties in different countries every year. (Think 150-200 nights in the last 2 years)

Email them and ask why your stays were not counted, I did and got the following reply:

Dear Mr Markis,
Thank you for taking the time to contact the InterContinental Ambassador Service Center.
We would like to inform you that only stays at InterContinental Hotels are qualified for the Ambassador Hurdle Promotion. Reward Nights are not eligible either. To date, the following stays were counted for the promotion:
Location: InterContinental Sydney
Date: xx April 2008
Night: 1
Location: InterContinental Sydney
Date: xx April 2008
Night: 1
After another stay at an InterContinental property, your status will be processed with four weeks.


You cannot ask for Royal Ambassador, it will be granted once you are a Ambassador and then meet the criteria, which is not published but thought to be around 50 nights + and at least 4 different ICs stayed at. Needless to say I am still looking forward to the free mini bar benefit RA brings!

I already have the required nights in IC and a couple of extra stays as well.
It was just a hint maybe they should give me RA
I dont stay often at the IC's but i do have a really crazy number of nights at the other properties... i made platinum again this year before end of Feb I would have had 50 nights already this year in PC hotels. (not all points counting.)

Well email sent just now, lets see what they say...
Also booked a couple more 2 night stays for IC in pudong/shanghai for good measure, see if i can't make RA in the next couple of months....

My status now says "Platinum Royal Ambassador Member".

I have been credited 52 nights so far this year with about half being Intercontinental stays. And I have 8 more nights still to be credited.

Not sure if it was my complaint to the hotel manager about a broken bathroom last week or if it was triggered by my 50+ nights in PC hotels that triggered it.

Looking forward to the free mini bar on my next trip..... 2.5 weeks at the Intercontinental Singapore for work and play... and I am now taking the wife and baby to enjoy the perks. Have spoken to the manager and requested Club access, which she granted without any fuss.
