Passport/Velocity name change.

I would like some advice please.

My wife and I will have to travel to NZ this week due to family reasons but issues have arisen.

My wife has her name changed on her velocity account to my name. But we haven't changed the passport yet. Mrs smatho has an interview with the Hobart passport Monday (tomorrow). I understand it takes 10 business days for a regular delivery or 2 days for a priority.

Since Mrs smatho is 100 points of Gold - It would be benefical to claim SC's and points from Velocity.

So my question is - instead of waiting or applying for a new passport - will velocity will be able to credit SC's in my wife's previous name??

I had this happen to me and the answer was no at the time...computer burped at the idea.... Reverse reason though.. Passport in married name and velocity in name so easily fixed with a fax to change the account name

My suggestion ...
get a new velocity account for her in her maiden name and use the family pooling back to her married name account. Computers are dumb and will do it without asking...

Points yes but OP is after the SCs... I would call Velocity ask them to change the name back, then change everything when you get the new passport

You can family pool SC as well. Not sure how this goes with the concept of having only one account per person.

It's the sc as well... You could always say she gas two personalities

I was in a similar situation with flights to Singapore in June. Flights were credited for me, but not her. Months down the track still waiting for retro claim to be processed, which is frustrating as gold is otherwise in sight.

It looks like we have to book in the maiden name - and see how we go with Velocity.

You would think they have Mrs Smatho's previous history and see what we are trying to achieve... I am currently pooling to Mrs smatho as I am only sitting on 90SC and the wife is on 340...
