Passengers on Virgin America flightmare forced to ration Pringles

PASSENGERS were forced to ration food after what was supposed to be a direct flight from LA to New York turned into a 16-hour nightmare.

Before finally arriving at their destination, the passengers of Virgin America Flight 404 had been stranded on a tarmac for seven hours and forced to ride a bus for another two-and-a-half hours.

The New York Post reported that food supplies aboard the plane were so low at one point Pringles chips had to be rationed: four chips apiece.

Though the reports on more reliable sources suggest this was rather an exaggerated report-eg Forbes-

Flight 404 left Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday, but fierce winds forced it to land at Stewart Airport in Newburgh, about 90 miles north of New York.
The airline says people were kept on the ground for 4 1/2 hours - although they were allowed to leave the plane - then bused to New York's JFK Airport.

And having driven from Poughkeepsie via Newburgh to JFK even the 2.5 hour bus trip seems a little exaggerated.

That is beyond sad... That said I'd feel quite secure on flight 443... (Runs and hides... )
