Passbook and Virgin Australia

QF's 'receipt' slip takes about 4 seconds to print - the two occasions I have used VA mobile boarding pass it took around 20 seconds for the agent to look up my record on the system and print the boarding pass. Much slower. It sounds a bit trivial but when the regular boarding queue is flowing freely and the priority queue has ground to a halt behind you people get a bit antsy!

In the future if I have a mobile pass I will ask at the Lounge for a hard copy before I approach the gate.

You can scan your mobile barcode using the virgin kiosks to get a printed out copy of the boarding pass, so you don't have to do that at the gate.

When you do mobile checkin (on your phone) at the end of the process you'll generally receive a text message with a link to a boarding pass, when you open that link, it'll ask you if you'd like to store it in Passbook, you say yes and voila!

Mobile check-in in Adelaide on the weekend and no luck with it asking to store it in Passbook. Got the link and all. Did I do anything wrong?

Click the link and it should ask you if you want to store it in passbook, on a device with passbook of course.

Can I assume that by having the passbook icon means I have Passbook. I never loaded it on the phone and I assume it came with a system update.

I loaded one into passbook. Once it was in passbook I then had to save the BP, or something. There was an extra step.

PB is incorporated in the iOS 6 update, so you get it by default when updating the OS

Correct, once the BP opens initially in Passbook you need to select save to retain the BP

Further my earlier posts, mobile checkin has started to work for me (was previously rejecting my mobile number), color coded for status, very nice.
So when I checkin I get a txt msg which has a link that brings up the BP in Safari but not in Passbook and there doesn't seem to be an option to do so. Am I missing something?
Any suggestions on getting a BP to appear in Passbook, app is installed and worked previously albeit prior to Sabre.

Got this response from VA when I queried the loss of fufunctionality
"Please note that unfortunately that is an IT glitch that IT are currently working on to repair."
