Hi all,

I am in the process of reviewing sales strategies for the next financial year, and the subject of airline loyalty partnerships has arisen.

I work for a property developer and I know that some of my competitors (i.e. LK Property and Defence Housing Australia) have partnered with Qantas and Virgin Australia, providing purchasers with 1 point per $ spent on a property transaction.

I have two questions:
- Firstly, has anyone on here actually partnered/attempted to partner with QF loyalty, and what was the outcome/feedback? Did the numbers stack up?
- Secondly, has anyone purchased an investment/primary property through LK Property or DHA, with the incentive of QFF or Velocity points? If so, it would be great to hear from you.

Thanks in advance. I hope this isn't seen as a commercial post.

I would call it less of a partnership - and more of a sales strategy.

Bank branch near me was recently offering 250,000 QF points or $2500 in vouchers for a new loan.
I suspect the 1c/point is pretty close to the purchase rate - maybe slightly higher for smaller companies..

So essentially its just a 1.xx% rebate that your competitors are offering.

It really depends on the demographics of your clients, and how much they would value (or pay extra) for FF points over, say, a cheaper price. Although if I was in the business, I would probably look at other points of differentiation. FF points can be attractive, but not everyone is into flying.
