Partner reward booking - manually force specific routing

Hi all,

Looking to book a partner redemption on ANA, CTS-HND-PEK with an overnight layover in HND. Each sector shows availability on VA but the system is not even letting me select CTS-PEK as a valid route in the online search. Before I spend any time on the phone, has anyone had success in being able to manually force a specific routing and have it price as a single award (in this case the 1200-2400 mile zone)? Understand I can book that as two separate tickets myself online with points but that makes it far less worthwhile.
