Unusual for me but I was in the Mel QF J lounge early in the morning last week. I really enjoyed the fresh and hot pancakes made by the on demand machine installed on the self serve food service counter. Maybe I missed it but I have never seen this machine before.

How long has this been there?

Are there hours of availability?

Is this just for QF J lounges?

Any other information of these fantastic machines?

All I can say is YUMMY and a nice start to the day.

The pancake machine has been an item on an AFF treasure hunt some time ago and is also on offer at the JQ lounge since it opened, yet another QF invasion by JQ thinking LOL.

Is it there all the time? I have been in that lounge a lot, normally late afternoon, and have never seen the machine before. Do they take it away when they change the food offering from Breakfast to Lunch or do I just not see it when making the Red Wine and Cheese run?

They have one in the Sydney international J lounge - or at least did.

It was one of the things I thought I would miss when I became WP, but the eggs benedict in the F lounge is so much better :D

I've never seen one domestically though, but I haven't flown QF domestically at breakfast time for nearly 2 months :)

There has been one in the ADL QP for the last few weeks. It wasn't there yesterday at about midday. They must put it away after breakfast.

Haha they've been popping up across the network for a while. I rather enjoy them, too. They're even in ADL (where there is the combined QP/J lounge)

Combined QP/J Lounge? Think it is just a QP and no J lounge.

But it is decent option for breakfast at 5 am

There was one in the PER QP domestic lounge on Monday morning, I was surprised by it and it kind of scared me, so I didn't get any, regretting it now lol pancakes would be the bomb, way better then the loaf of bread I consume in toast form in the morning whilst I'm there.

I've had them before at the MEL Int J lounge. Nothing better than a rum and coke with a pancake before 14 hours on QF93

I'm flying Adl/Mel this Wednesday and back on Thursday. MsPG and I are doing the epiQure launch event in Mel. Will ask the food staff at Adl and Mel what is the availability for the pancake machine and report on the epiQure launch. Anyone else going?

Only seen them in the international j lounge in Sydney....

true. I meant that I haven't seen the machine in QP lounges but because J customers in ADL have no other options I wondered if that's why the machine is in there maybe?

That's probably the reason. But still there is precious little in ADL that is up to J lounge standard

Sporadically seen in the PER QP - pancakes all day - not there the next time.

Haven't spotted in MEL DOM J Lounge yet.

Saw the pancakes in the Melbourne domestic QP on July 7... so they are there!

Unfortunately was flying business and only noticed on my way out of the business lounge (which didn't have one!!)

I just want them to bring back the scones!!

However pancakes for breakfast would be nice too, though not sure why they can't just make them out the back and provide a dish full? Would a machine signify they're more freshly made, other than the batter :p
