OK, I have decided to bit the bullet - well given the very modest cost actually more a pellet - and get a paid membership.

Tried to purchase today and was presented with only one option, ie PayPal, which is ok because I used it a lot for eBay.

HOWEVER, when I logged on to PayPal and tried to make payment, it indicated I had to " top up" first to make payment. I have never experienced this before on PayPal. Is this a payment setting peculiar to AFF, ie debit rather than credit through PayPal?

I don't know how to top up on PayPal so, after two unsuccessful tries, I abandoned payment and still in the cheap seats at AFF!

And procedural advice would be much appreciated.

Yours in silver waiting,

Did you check the currency? It may have something to do with that. If not, check that your preferred payment method is your credit card and that the details are correct (for example, you don't have a new card and need to update expiry date or something).

Other than that, unless you are on some sort of restrictions with PayPal I don't know what the problem is.

Terrific, thanks, your twigged my memory to needing to remove an old credit card to which PayPal defaulted. It worked so thanks. Now a paid member. Can't wait to use the mobile version for my new iPad.
