Well I just flew to CBR on QF826 and was told I coudnt indulge in a second beverage.

It got me thinking why would one bother chasing P1??

Any similar experiences?

I'm also interested to know how these two things are related. Flight time might be a factor, I'm not familiar with that flight where did it depart.

And was it a small plane and they don't load many drinks??? If there were a few extra you should probably have expected to get a 2nd one... Even if your a NB, if it was just coz they couldn't be bothered going back and getting one it would be a bit annoying... its not like its there personal drinks they are giving away so what's the big deal??? if its just that they don't carry that many well probably wouldn't matter what status you are...

How are the two related?

I often get a bottle given to me. That's by the by but that's the context. QF on my CBR flight on Friday couldn't be bothered handing out a second beer at the top if decent after a request.
