OWE or VA Plat on QR flights

Historically Oneworld Emerald had greater recognition on QR. VA Plat benefits were limited to priority check in, boarding and lounge access only.

With the introduction of the wet leases this changed and now VA Plat's get free seat selection (including exit rows), priority baggage and extra baggage (and it now seems OWE is 20kg extra whilst VA Plats get 25kg extra). With these things I've previously received as OWE now VA benefits is there one option that is better than the other?

As OWE they're would normally be some form greeting and taking of meal order before the rest of the cabin, is this something now offered to VA Plats?

You earn VA status credits on all QR operated flights
