I just wanted to know if the QF Silver benefit of using the Business Class check in is a OW Ruby benefit. My wife, an AA Gold, and I QF Silver will be flying Iberian on Tuesday and wanted to know if we can by pass the economy mad house and use the business class check in?
The QF site is a bit ambiguous to mean as it sort of states that you can use the Qantas Business Class or Qantas Club check in, not One World check ins.

According to the OneWorld site, a QF silver / OW Ruby is entitled to business class check-in

Yes! Did it last year as PS...and in MAD in particular, it is an absolute relief not to queue for those economy counters!

Just to update.
We did not use the business class counter at GRX (Granada). There were two people waiting there and the economy counter had no one waiting and only the people served.:o So we used the economy check in instead:) . As we were being checked in the Airport shuttle bus came in and then there was a huge line behind us....
The only problem really was the really bad seating policy of IB and the check in refusal to check through our bags to SIN as it was going to be a TG flight, GRX-MAD (IB), MAD-BKK-SIN (TG) which was strange as TG and AT were able to through check the bags when we flew on IB. This caused us to wait at MAD for 40 minutes before we could claim our bags and only checked into the TG flight 4o minutes before the flight. I will not use MAD terminal 1 again, compared to the OW T4S, it is downright archaic!
