Hello

I have a question about oversized baggage on domestic VA flight. It is a 737.

The size of my baggage is 71cm x 60cm x 37cm. This clearly exceeds the maximum total dimensions of 140cm as per their website. In terms of weight, I am fine as it is only 15kg.

Does anyone know if there is a way to still checking by paying extra? I tried the call center but wasnt able to get a proper answer.

Thanks

How heavy is it? If it's under the standard Weight, then sometimes you can check it in, but have to go to the oversize luggage area to drop it off, and pick up at the other end. You normally see a heap of golf bags there. If it's 23+ kg, then there might be additional charges, but you'll need to check

This is very clearly outlined on VA's website:

"Oversized baggage can be checked in, provided each item does not exceed their baggage weight allowance; otherwise they will be charged with an overweight baggage fee."

Your bag will be fine to check in.

I am a bit confused as the first statement says it is oversize but the link says it is fine. Do i just have to check it in at the oversize counter or do something different?
