Other airline vouchers are FAR SUPERIOR to Qantas.

Due to Covid19 I have vouchers from Qantas, Tap Air Portugal and Royal Air Maroc. The Qantas voucher is from Singapore to Melb (where I live) return to Singapore, 'making it useless to me.' (It was originally purchased as part of a OWA starting/ending in Singapore to allow me to split the award into two journeys. YES, after taking one flight lost all my points in that debacle too!)
ANYWAY, both Tap and RAM allow me to use their vouchers for anywhere in their respective networks. I think it is a disgrace that Qantas insist their vouchers are only utilised for the original departure/arrival destinations!! Certainly when other airlines are doing far better for customers. Surely Qantas could/should be more flexible!
Thoughts welcome?...🙁

I also had a Qantas credit voucher issued for a booking ex Singapore. In my case, I called Qantas to request a refund instead, which was approved. However I did ask the lady on the phone, and she said that it is possible to use an ex Singapore voucher to book a flight departing Australia if you do it over the phone. It seemed like a bit of a round-about process, but should be possible.

Have you tried calling Qantas?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

As your voucher is probably denominated in SGD, they may not have an automated way of using it for a point of departure outside Singapore. It may well be a manual process, that they wuld discourage!
