What happens if my membership card is lost or stolen?

Please Contact Us and we will send you a new one. It should take approximately14 days to reach you and a $10 or 1,000 Points replacement card fee will be charged.

Please note that you are still able to earn Velocity Points and collect Status Credits while waiting for your new card to arrive. Simply quote your number when booking flights or purchasing products and services from our partners.

Looks like no online facility, just a phone call, unless the travel card on the back has one (global wallet)?

The reason I asked is that my wife still has a Virgin Blue Velocity card from ages ago and I'm wondering if the magnetic encoding on the back is still correct when swiping with partner airlines to correctly identify her membership.

When I called to have my old DJ Velocity card replaced (I was still Red at the time), just a quick phone call, no hassles, nothing about a $10 fee...
Having said that, it was also back in 2012, so things might have changed

As for magnetic encoding, technically its still the same program, you still have the same membership number - But yea, I'd get a new card, even if its just for the looks of having a new VA Card. She isn't close to moving upwards to Silver and/or your not going to reach Compaion Gold....?

One work-around for perhaps getting a new card is requesting Global Wallet Functionality, which can be requested online through your Account page. :) Either way, let us know how you go.
