Optus $99/Mth Sim Only Plan - 60,000 Qf Pts

Application lodged 12th, Processed on 13th, Sim received & activated 15th, on 17Jul QFF point activity statement shows Optus activity with 0 pts..Looking forward to 60k pts after 3mnths.
 
I signed up for this yesterday (Sunday) but have yet to receive any contact from Optus. Wonder if that makes me ineligible for the promotion?

To receive the 60,000 point you need to have activated the service by the 17th. If your account has been activated you should have an email from Optus to indicate that it's active.
 
I’m not ACTIVATED yet. Signed up Sunday (finally) and got a missed call from them yesterday (Monday). Am going to call them today BUT is there any point if it’s not activated yet? Was only doing it for the 60K points…….
 
Less than a week in and I’ve already been reminded why I left Optus in the first place. I’m sure it’s a case of YMMV but the network just isn’t as good for me. It’s fine when I’m at at home and around suburban Brisbane but has still been in and out of 3/4G. The 60,000pts are still worth it but I’m counting down the days until I can switch back to Telstra.

Activated just before a trip to Indonesia. Roaming add-on was very straightforward to apply. Text messages - work fine. Data - piece of cake. Receiving or making calls to/from Oz? Nope. 😟

Has anyone had problems with the My Optus app? I can't do anything with it and it looks like my service is pending but it's been active for a week. I'm working with Optus support to try and get it resolved.

I’m an existing Optus user and the iOS app is currently working (if that helps).

Yes has been annoying for me too. Customer service are of no help wrt this.

I fixed it by reinstalling the app.
 
Interesting. I cleared cache and data. They asked me to reinstall the app and I queried it with them as I didn't see how that will resolve. I'll give it a try!
I tried multiple times on the iOS app with no luck
I logged in via the web on a desktop and it resolved.

And that worked! As someone who works in tech it sounded very much like please reboot your PC and I would have dropped the chat and potentially started again. Mine is Android.
