thinking of a long haul in June--- Emirates 777-300er to Dubai and Emirates A330-200 to Dublin both in J. As I'm travelling alone could I have your opinions on what would be the best seats on these planes ? I dont particularly want a window seat -- thank you :D

I normally go with seatguru.com and they are pretty good with their suggestions.

Hey spudseamus - Recently took the 777-300ER in J MEL to KUL. The seat config is 2 - 3 - 2 and there are two J cabins (a mini one and the main one). Personally I'd choose the front J cabin as I found it a bit more intimate and private. The flights from MEL are generally quite full in Y and plenty of kids so to avoid the noise I choose the furthest cabin I could from Y.

We ended up choosing 7A & B (was travelling with the wife) and found these seats to be excellent. Although you're near the galley I really didn't hear anything until the breakfast service started. Beware that 7A is windowless as is 7K but you do have a view from 7B&J with the angle.

In my opinion row 7 is the best in the cabin as row 6 has slightly restricted leg room (bulkhead) and I did see people have to slightly climb over the legs of the person next to them in row 6. You still have to walk over the person in row 7 if they are fully extended but its quite easy.

Cant help on the A332 but def check seatguru and seatexpert for options. Hope this helps!
