Open letter to all Virgin Atlantic pilots

The future of Airlines for its employees is more hours for the same or less pay, as every airline seeks to add more capacity to each route than there is traffic. Sad but true. The rise of the LCC isnt so much about low fares as it is about low wages, the fares will be as high as the route can support. To those who have invested vast sums of money and years of their life to enter a career that used to pay well, its disappointing. Some cannot come to terms with it.

not sure what the situation is with virgin and its pilots but im assuming it's to do with pay.If Qantas put out a PR similar to this, I'm sure there wouldn't be this much animosity
To be clear, this relates to Virgin Atlantic, not Australia... I'm sure if there was a threat of industrial action in oz we'd have heard about it.

Seems like a well thought out blog post, and if the figures are all available as he says they are, it can't be hard for them to see for themselves that the airline can't just continue increasing wages every few years, while the traveling public have decreasing wages. Sorry, but that doesn't work for anyone.
