Hello,

I'm thinking about booking a flight SYD-xMEL-SIN (same PNR). The SYD-MEL departure will be at 6am. However, I'm planning to take the train so will arrive at the SYD domestic at around 5:20ish.

My questions:
1. Assuming I check-in online (or via mobile), and travelling with only hand luggage, can I simply go straight to the gate to board the first flight (using the printed boarding pass)? Presumably I'll get the MEL-SIN BP and express pass in MEL after I land there.

2. Will 30 minutes be enough to get from the train station to the gate? (I assume gate closes 10 minutes before departure, correct?)

If it doesn't sound like it's going to work then I'll take the 7am departure instead, spending less time in the MEL F lounge :-|

Thanks a lot! :)

1. Yes you can. You'll get both BPs when you do OLCI but not mobile check in I don't think.
2. Yes... 30 minutes is enough to get from the train to the gate assuming the train is on time etc.
