Hi, looking at a one way Y+ fare with an ASA for the return flight.

From QF website:
Cost of Y+ SYD-LHR is $3,400.
Cost of Y+ LHR-SYD is 1530GBP (=$2336).

It would appear that I can save $1k by purchasing the return sector instead of the first sector.
Am I likely to encounter a problem booking Europe to Aus?
(The price discrepancy doesn't make sense when booking from Aus)

thanks.

What you are experiencing are the market forces which happens to dictate prices or airfares. No you want have any issues using points one way and buying with cash coming home.
