OMG!! An upgrade?

I did our OLCI this morning for our PER-ZNE flight on Virgin this afternoon. Booked cheapest seats for our flight and couldn't select seats at the time of booking. How surprised was I to find we have been allocated 2D and 2F. I'm Gold, hubby is Silver. Yeah its only a 1hr 45min flight but we won't argue I'm expecting to get to the gate and be told its a mistake lol.

VA typically seats status pax in the J cabin on those routes where the J service isn't offered (as in this case). You won't get J catering but the seating in the J cabin on the E90 is really nice.

Correct, intra WA and to XCH and CCK Plats can select J seats. I believe ROK, LST and MQL are also like this.

Golds are auto allocated J seats once the flight hits airport control.

I've been Gold for 18 months and this is the first time ever. I doubt we'll have the same luck when we fly to MEL at the end of the month. We can only hope.
