Would be interesting to know what fares book into those classes. I know the EK sector BCN/DXB in whY I flew on as part of a Classic award booked into 'N' class.

That principle is long gone by the wayside

Mind you I assume that the V,X fares were the really cheap fares that generally weren't available as a QFF codeshare (so in some respects this is some level of equality)
 
V and X classes on EK are used for really dirt cheap fares and often not used that much. They are lower than EK T class (T > V > X) which maps to QF O class as a comparison.

That'd be the principle by which the ACCC allowed this alliance to proceed?
