NZ1921 yesterday BNE to BWN (Brunei) yesterday and NZ6012 BWN to AKL today 767

Could it be just chance or once off, or could it be that NZ is trying to do some flight testing to see if there is any capability of the 767/demand.
Not too many people like Brunei, but for those who don't mind, if this goes ahead, it could be that "down the track", apart from flying to Borneo from Australia via Singapore, there "could" now be the chance of gaining VA FF points and VA SC for those flying from NZ to Brunei, if these become regular flights.
Not sure where to chase the info up though as to see why NZ1921 and NZ6012 flew that route.
