I have asked Qantas this questions and they refuse to answer. When I joined there were only 60 (92). and seen my benefits diminish in value.

I'm not sure why you're complaining - at least you still get some benefit out of your lifetime QC. I upgraded to LTQC around 2005 or 2006, when I was Silver. I made Gold the next year, and have been Gold or WP ever since. I am now lifetime Gold. I got about 18 months max usage out of my LTQC!

I am not to sure your point? LT QC was the same as FFLTG. Qantas has cored out the benefits of QC membership. The fact that Qantas (OW), created FFLTG, and your employer and taxpayers subsidized your frequent flying to rack up 700 status points a year and 14,000 points good on you.

Yes I am a LQP who will never get to QFF LTG.
Though I am LTP on AA.

It was never the same as LTG. I am a completely self-funded traveller and to be honest you have no idea what you're talking about.

Considering qantas club was much more valuable in the early days, I cannot agree with you. The benefits of qantas club have slowly eroded over the last 20+ years, and frequent flyer has gained many benefits.

Much more valuable? What's really changed, apart from loss of access to BA lounges?

No need for the personal attack, as it is not relevant to the discussion.

I am not sure status flyers would agree that they have gained many benefits as they have seen many benefits eroded as well (ATA, free access to exit seats etc)

Agree. In ye olde days QC had access to all BA lounges, business class check-in with BA, and access to some of the better seats on BA. BA's extensive network, combined with AA's gave a fairly valuable membership in an alliance covering most of the world.

Pulling the plug on BA was a huge loss.

That would be status credits. Not status points.

I am LTQP courtesy of Life time Flight Deck from the old Australian airlines / TAA membership. I certainly had my money’s worth and even though I’m WP and close to LTG still happy enough to have it as a safety net

And why on EARTH would you expect an answer to a commercial in confidence question? (as noted above)

And even if you got a number.... what does it matter?

Yes QC membership had better benefits, mostly before oneworld took hold and since then Gold has become far more valuable for the alliance wide perks - lounge access, baggage entitlement, priority boarding/check in etc.

They are not the same thing and sure there's probably a bunch of people with LT QC who have not made the SC for LTG (for example business travellers heavy in the 80's and 90's before tier points/status credits came in who are likely not flying for business anymore, or rarely.

Anyway I fail to see how this is important at all?

May not be important to most current AFFers but to a retired businessperson in their 80's it was their fall back position. Most of their business flying was in the days before SCs and LTG.
Now they have next to nothing.
Going to be even worse with the possibility of their super wiped out.
But never mind Covid might get them anyway.
