Virgin Australia have changed the layout of their website. In particular the way you book flights has changed and the layout/theme seems to match the Velocity website. I knew they had plans to merge both the websites into one and it appears that they have either done that of at least started the process.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Yes - it's much better and 2020 looking than the previous website.
It needs some improvements here and there but hey - it's never too late !

They've cut the number of times you need to log in from 40 to 12!!

Its not exactly a straight forward process but also not brain surgery, can’t understand why big highly resourced companies cant get SSO to work across their apps/portals.

I still get a peculiar error message when I first log in to Velocity from the home page. It opens a new tab that says "page not found". I have to return to the home page, then click "log in" again.

I use Chrome, so perhaps I need to use another browser?

PS - I hope Velocity lurks in this thread often enough to get some free feedback from members

The booking process look and feel I think is a bit like the old Virgin America website with a combination of Delta/Virgin Atlantic.

Though it does seem as this was how the mobile site used to work but now also used on the full site..

I think someone currently in VA IT (or maybe Bain themselves) might have instructed/implemented the "full Sabre" not a half coughd Sabre? I am doing a travel bank booking at the moment so this should be an interesting adventure. Already have 3 tabs open for a one way flight booking - lets see how more I end up with ....
