Hi All
We recently flew MAS in J to Europe return and had the points credited to our Velocity Account (instead of Enrich) so we have gone from 0 points to 31546/560 Status Credits and just received an email to say we are at Gold.
We were pretty surprised but will take whatever is given...trouble is we have always been QFF..800,00 points for me and 300,000 for other half + currently bronze and have made silver once. We are saving those points for a OWE (or maybe 2) in J hopefully 2013 or 2014. So currently we direct everything we can into earning Qantas FF points.
Not knowing much about the Velocity program need to decide if we now direct some points to Velocity (how do you do that ? is it another CC) or just enjoy the current status, use the points we have 31,546 each and it appears we can get to NZ and back..but not sure what the advantages will be. We are only leisure travellers and that may only be one international possibly two trips in a 12 month period - If anyone has any ideas that would be helpful I would love to receive them. One of our favourite get away destinations is Hawaii and Hawaiian are a partner of Virgin so maybe that's an option for a trip later this year or early 2013 to earn more or possible upgrade. Virgin Status review April 2013. Thanks in advance
