And yes I did look at the fares - but a "Saver" fare from NY to Sydney on the 27th Jan (one way) is $1,754 USD - which is $13K AUD for 6 tickets. That's an awful lot for one way discount economy

Holidays aren't going to get any easier for a long time - my eldest daughter finishes school in 2017, my youngest son started school last year though , have two others in between so school holidays will be a factor for a while yet !
