New CX J and PE coming to Aus!

Airline Route are reporting that CX are gradually introducing the new J and PE product to various Australian destinations this year:

Cathay Pacific Planned A330-300 Premium Economy Operation in S12 | Airline Route

As per 06JAN12 GDS Inventory Display, Cathay Pacific plans to introduce Premium Economy Class Service on board Airbus A330-300 aircraft, dubbed “33G”. Note the 33G also features the new business class seats.
For most of Northern Summer 2012 season, 33G focuses on Sydney operation, which sees all 4 Daily flights operating by August 2012. From September 2012, 33G enters service to Melbourne, followed by flights to Brisbane and Mumbai from October 2012.

That would be interesting. Anything would beat their dreaded Y seat.

And, while I don't get a bottle of champagne waiting for me when I step on board, it is pretty good being addressed by name and having the FA come up to me asking if I have any special requests, especially when I'm only a QF SG. I suppose they've identified me as a pax who they can potentially "steal" from QF.

CX treated me (a SG too) very well in Y ex-SYD last year as well. The advance meal service was very unexpected.

Does anybody know how to actually price and book CX PE? I see that their Australian website doesn't include Premium Economy in the Cabin Class drop-down menu. Hopefully this will be changed some time soon.

I should add that, I also noticed another pax on my flight with "QF Emerald" printed on his BP... yet he didn't receive such special treatments.

Travelled last week on the new CX J product from Haneda to Hong Kong and I loved the increased work space and storage facities.

Then boarding the old J class product for the flight to Perth was a huge disappointment.
