New Amex statement credits

I got it - plat edge.

Waste of time what a rubbish offer.
Agree that it's a rubbish offer, especially with only the one participating restaurant in Melbourne. However thinking of stacking this with the upcoming 30% Midweek Melbourne Money offer to effectively get 45% back on some yum cha in Docklands.

But you have to go to Docklands 😆, only
people from Sydney like Docklands 😂

I guess we need to keep in mind that all "schemes" are not going to perfectly suit our own personal profiles every time. Much easier on the mind to recognise this or your life could become full of disappointment

I could care less, its just a credit card - but sorry to hear you are disappointed!

I just think its lazy, I mean they could have least gone with a hospitality group or two.... I'm guessing no one was interested to participate with them.

Fully agree.

Yes these promos are a marketing scheme to first and foremost benefit Amex. From time to time some benefit us as well (varies by Member as needs are different). The Amex customer base is diverse.

So on a points earn and/or cashback basis sometimes they are useless, sometimes they are ok, and sometimes they are fantastic.

Good Q that I too would like to know the answer to.
You can get 5K MR points for a new additional Amex card even if you already have pre existing additional cards...as per AMEX service agent yesterday
I purchased 4 days ago. Offers still showing as available. I would expect them to have changed to redeemed by now. No emails or credits received.
Re Ampol buy $70 get $10 back offer. Some of my cards got the $10 posted automatically but 2 supps didn't so I chatted with an Amex agent online to get a manual adjustment.
