VA appears to have gone live with the new A330 schedules on the website

From sunday the 28th of October (Additional services)
1x A332 daily SYD-PER and VV (total 4x A332 + 1x 738)
3x A332 daily MEL-PER and VV (total 3x A332 + 2x 738)
2x A332 daily SYD-MEL and VV

Some fairly dramatic increases in capacity, interesting to see how fares hold up
Either way, I'm happy, especially seeing as how these will all be operated by new fitout (whatever actually comes of it) aircraft with RED

Nice work VA! Imagine what Qantas must be thinking :D

Well spotted. I like the look of the early morning MEL-SYD and SYD-MEL a330. I can see myself on the 7:30am MEL-SYD one quite a bit when it starts up - shame there isn't an evening one to match.

+1. something 9 months away doesnt even register on my radar. Anyway, maybe I should save my excitement up for 2020 when their IFE goes live....

9 months will fly by I reckon.

Though 2020 is a long time to wait ;)

There will be two services form 14th May, to PER ex MEL the 1300 and 1730 services are widebody while the 0830 and 1730 returns are also widebody.

MEL-SYD has the 0715 service and SYD-MEL the 1000 service is widebody.

I've booked 3 return flexi fares in June the A330 MEL - PER and upgraded to Business with the complimentary upgrades (Partner is Platinum as well so had the upgrades available). Awesome !!

Speaking to a couple of Virgin folk and they tell me the plan is to take the current A330's out of service when the new aircraft arrive. The current aircraft will be refitted with, amongst other things, 18 fully flat seats in business and then returned to service. Hopefully the info is correct and that pans out. I guess they are getting rid of the middle seat in J. Good move.

Anyone else heard anything similar?
