Help. How can i get 50 status credits easy and cheap so i can reach silver status. I read some older forums about using JASA to use points and pay for an easy cheap way to get SC. Im not sure these are still available? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Just starting getting into being loyal with QF to gain points and SC. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

What are you reasons for wanting silver? Its not really worth reaching for!

I agree, no real benefits to Silver, I would use the money that you would put towards a qualifying flight for a QC membership.

It sounds stupid but i want the Q tag. My partner has one and i want to be able to have the same ease as him with bag drops when we fly together

That's funny! Does your husbands bag tag actually work?
I think there will be many an AFF member that can send you one. Me including !!
Save your money and PM me with your details.

I spose it works? Haha im not sure as we never use his seeings weve got to get bag tags fo me anyway. Are the Q tags a bit unreliable or something? Arent each Q tags registered for each person or how do they actually work?

Not linked in anyway!
They have a chip which is loaded with you booking details as it scans it. (When it works).
Sometimes I have to turn my bag, tag and hop on one leg for it to work ;). I generally have carry on when flying domestic, so don't use the tag anymore.
Doesnt work for INT flights.

Ive got a gold tag you can have!

Qf website says they are blank and you can share with family and friends. Nothing ties them to a qff member i believe. Even down to priority luggage (not that that works ) eg non gold member using gold tags won't get priority luggage assuming the system works

  • QBT does not store any personal information

This would imply i assume no QFF details.

they have a unique Id but not tied to a specific ffer. they are linked when scanned at bag drop

As is my mantra, not cheap, and if you are still interested, return QF flexY PER to ADL would do it.
30 SC one way, return will be 60.

When do you need the points by? PER-SIN return on 3K with a plus bundle could be had for about $300-$350 if you're willing to be a bit flexible with the dates.

Scott.
