Though a little "off forum", it seems you can earn Myer One bonus points on dollars spent at IHG hotels in Australia. I wasn't aware of this until recently and I'll be interested to know if I am the only one who didn't know about it.

In fact, my curiosity was piqued when I idly read a note on a IHG hotel check in desk. (I am good at reading things upside down particularly that don't belong to me  ) Basically, the note mentioned the scheme but also instructed staff not to draw it to guests' attention.

Myer One bonus credits accrue at the rate of $20 per $1000 spent. Not great but not bad either on large purchases at the stores or when paying regular and large hotel bills. The obvious question is whether presenting you Myer One card excludes Priority Club benefits such as points accrual, upgrades or Ambasador benefits. If that is the case it's value would be greatly reduced. Has anyone had any experience or, better still, come across the rules as applied by IHG hotels? In fact there are some other decent travel affiliates such as Air New Zealand.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I didn't. I went back and re-read the stuff they sent to me on the affiliates program, but it is all about local retailers. There was a reference to national affiliates, but had never checked that out..

I got an email from Myer One yesterday about this. However I deleted it and it was cleared this morning-my weekly trash clearout. There were about 8 national affiliates and i really cant remember them but I think it was Rendevous hotels and possibly mantra as well.

Did some digging and found the Crowne Plaza rules, and it appears that earning Myer One points excludes you from other programs:

From MYER one. My bolding.
*Shopping Credits earned when MYER one member booking & paying accommodation with hotel direct (1 Room per member booked in member name) and are not earned for conferences or stays beyond 7 nights. Shopping Credits can be earned on Food and beverage purchases only when charged to member room and form part of total accommodation bill. Shopping Credits cannot be earned in conjunction with any other loyalty or points programs. Participating locations only.

Thanks Ozmark. If Priority Club is covered by the exclusion, as is likely, I wouldn't be presenting my Myer One card. Let's say the rate at an IC is $250.00. That earns $5.00 shopping credits and no PC points and probably no nights towards status. It therefore seems to make the offer fairly academic. I might ask the Sydney IC rep on FT to advise but your research is likely to be right.
