Hi

My spouse has in my view met the requirements for Platinum. Can you please confirm she should be upgraded on the basis of these details, and if so, how long does it take for the software, etc. to run for this to take effect?

Cheers!

As long as SCs and sectors meet what is required your spouse should be upgraded. I just hit gold last week. Took a couple of (business) days to change on the velocity site. About 3-4 days for Velocity to send a congratulatory email including the promise of a pack to be sent by snail mail shortly thereafter.

Hi
I qualified Plat this morning flight arrived BNE 12.30 am delayed from ADL. Before the flight I was on 990 credits. By 8 am my profile said Plat but the points still showed 990. Todays flight I was allowed row 3 and was able to book row 3 for upcoming flights to Darwin. Email arrived today welcoming me to Plat. I was surprised at the speed of the upgrade. My bag was damaged today as well initially I was told there was nothing they could do for me as wheels arent covered, however one of the other staff behind the counter noticed my status and said wheels were covered for Plat. All in all a good experience apart from the bag damage. I hope your spouse gets upgraded soon.

I hope for your sake you are flying back Qantas - the redeye to Brisneyland is really quite unpleasant in the absence of a lounge for VA customers in DRW. At the Catholic Churches here, spending time in the DRW departure lounge from 12am is a part of the penance for really nasty sins after confession.
