Hi Guys,

I need to make a flight from Singapore to Addis Ababa return later this year 2pax.

Online "J" Self Booking:
SIN - BKK S$1890 (return 2 pax) - Thai
BKK - ADD S$5500 (approx return 2 pax) - Ethiopian

Approx S$7390

Same via Travel Agent - $10,070 (who will guarantee the bags are tagged to ADD).....
Or on Emirates via Dubai - S$12,000

My query is, how (without going via travel agent) can I have my baggage sent through to ADD when I first check-in at SIN without having to collect baggage, customs and then recheck in at BKK? I know I can collect boarding pass inside the terminal at BKK.

Star Alliance are no help - just told me to look at their website as they are just a group of 27 Individual airlines. so, open to the brains trust please!

Thanks
Addison
