Hey mate, I'm going to Moscow for vacation with my friend during summer, may i know how many weeks in advance we should apply for out tourist visa before heading to Russia? While come across evisaasia.com/visa-requir...alia-citizens/ it stated 2 weeks in advance is it correct? Meanwhile can somebody suggest some nice and tidy hotel?

At least a month I would say.The Russian consulate in Sydney takes a week to process but we had ours returned saying not all documents were submitted even though everything was there-and returned.So it took us nearly 3 weeks all up.

As early as you can. Aside from processing delays/difficulties, they also have a tiered system of fees, depending how much time you want to give them. The earlier you apply, the cheaper it is.
