Just wondering if I have just been lucky on BA and unlucky on QF but have received about 4 op-ups on BA but not a single one on QF whilst I am QF SG... Does BA value OW sapphire higher then QF their golds?

Just wondering...

Out of interest, what kinds of op-ups were they? And what sectors?

Then again, QF aren't awfully generous with upgrades as it is, op-ups or otherwise, really.

I've had nearly 100% upgrades with CX in recent years without even asking or expecting. I even scored one on a flight done on QF points on CX metal.

Flew BA a few weeks ago and flew in the class I paid for.

Not my experience with BA. Have only ever received one op-up with them (J to F), and there was one flight where I was on the BA flight number on QF metal and received an op-up from PE to J.

QF has always treated me better. I've always thought BA turns up their noses when it comes to Qantas FF'ers (all round, not just with upgrades)

CX used to treat me very well with upgrades, but after they re-arranged their "pecking order" a few years ago I haven't been upgraded. Still, from a "number of flights, number of upgrades" type perspective, CX still wins by a mile.

I have never received a J -> F op-up on BA or QF. My only op-ups to F have been with CX (twice).

I have had op-ups to J with QF and CX, and op-up to PE on QF. I have not had any op-ups at all with BA.

Just a couple that spring to mind are
LHR-YUL and back Y to PE
LHR-MEX Y to J
SYD-BKK PE to J
LHR-LAX Y to J

Very true. Have often tried to use points on QF but no luck...
