More arrogance from BAC

I'm far more interested in the part of that story where BAC asks customers to tell them how to fix the public pick up area.

I agree. Not sure of the arrangements or obligations that BAC or any airport owner for that matter have to develop the additional runway, suffice to say if there is money in it, its a no brainer. This debate seems to be funding centric.

It does open the argument about who should own and manage critical infrastructure.

I agree this is arrogant of BAC. I can't believe the same company which runs Amsterdam Schipol airport - one of the better airports in the world - is running Brisbane airport like it is one of the most ineptly managed airports in the world.

Frankly, I'm at a loss for words to describe the abhorrent ineptitude of BAC management, as any insult I hurl at them wouldn't be worth it at all. I'll stop short of making an Alan Jones like comment about each of the managing board, but geez I am so tempted to do so......

That said, I guess they were figuring that every pax that passes through BNE could afford another $2 on top of their fares. Suppose that's not entirely far fetched (so why do we often complain when our fares go up by less than $10 anyway......)

Brisbane Airport have had over 15 years to build up enough equity for this. The developments at BNE seem amateurish noting the amount of land compared with CBR. Sympathy levels are low.

I would be able to charge more money because we are doing an upgrade in 3 years time.
