I'd be interested to hear people's experiences with milestone rewards, so far I haven't had luck using the 20 night reward but I still have a few rewards to redeem.
For 20 nights I chose a confirmable suite upgrade, however on all the stays I have enquired about so far I have been unable to apply it due to using "discounted rates" such as advance purchase or stay longer and save. One of my stays appeared to have an available suite, and eligible rate, but the call centre was unable to apply the upgrade and so was awarded 10K points for the error. Not a bad outcome for a computer says no moment, but it would be nice if I can use the confirmable suite upgrade at some stage. I may try to apply the upgrade to a new booking, rather than existing booking as I've tried so far.
For 30 nights I'll probably choose the points, since the F&B credit will only be available from March next year in USA and Canada, so it is unlikely I will be able to use them.
For 40 nights, I am looking forward to redeeming the annual lounge membership for my stays with lounge equipped properties. I'm not sure what I'll get for the second choice since the confirmable suite upgrade could face similar redemption issues as the 20 night reward, so like the 30 night choice I may go for the points.
