Just a thought

I was checking my QF miles balance for the last couple of months and was wondering where the logic is in the following;
business class trip in June; SYD-AY/BA-BKK-AY-HEL-AY-BRU-AY-HEL-AY-BKK-AY/BA-SYD total miles received is 26584
economy class trip in July; SYD-QF-SIN-QF-LHR-BA-BRU-BA-LHR-QF-BKK-QF-SYD total miles received is 32166

Difference is in the Gold status miles which I think it strange that we do not get them on One World partners except for BA and AA. So more miles for flying economy than business...

If you had done the same itinerary in economy and also in business class, then it would not be the case though. Travelling on an itinerary in economy without status vs an itineray in business then again business will win

It's not really anything illogical, just that the QF scheme doesnt award a huge bonus for premium travel unlike some other schemes :)

AY flights do not earn the Status Bonus of 50% for Gold members. QF and BA flights to earn the 50% Status Bonus.

Business Class only earns a 25% cabin bonus.

Qantas FF programs provides a big bonus for status earning when travelling in business class. Typically for international flights you earn 4x the status credits for business class compared with discount economy.
