Malaysia Airlines is suspending operations to the US when it withdraws Kuala Lumpur (KL)-Los Angeles service at the end of April.
The airline said the move is part of a “route rationalization” exercise aimed at stemming losses. It said it would instead focus on Asia, where “demand outlook is strong” and rely on a codeshare arrangement with American Airlines and Japan Airlines to provide one-stop connectivity between KL and the US.
