Has anyone noticed, in the last week - 3 flights have been on A380 (02 Nov, 03 Nov and 06 Nov).

It doesn't appear that they were scheduled - there's no future bookings on the A380.

At first I thought maybe it's for Melbourne cup but that would make sense if it was KUL-MEL - but this is KUL-SYD.

There's an article on ausbt (Malaysia Airlines plans return to Brisbane, more flights to Perth) where the MH CEO ruled out upgrading the route (and MEL) to A380 for the peak summer season. So - seems strange. A330 maintenance issues?

I'm booked on MH122 next week and won't be disappointed if it's upgraded to A380 ;)

Anyone can write lots of anything on a blog, doesn't mean its factual.
A) wow, that post is nearly a year old
B) David Flynn is a respected aviation journalist who did an interview with their CEO. Not sure what your grounds are suggesting it wasn’t factual.

MH is also bringing the A380 to MEL on various dates throughout September. Looks to me like they're not selling F, but if you have a J ticket you can select a seat in the F cabin.
